This is why I went with the C5 - as an Xbox gamer and 4k disk watcher, this makes the difference. That was the biggest deal breaker, they are both excellent options.
The QD panel more than balances this out for most users (I don't game on a TV) which is why rtings put the S90F ahead of the C5. Both great midrange+ options though.

Debating waiting for the S90H though when those prices drop next September.

Fully agree, you can't go wrong with either one. For where I am putting this TV, I consume more content that will benefit from DV...and it didn't hurt that I was able to get the 77" C5 on the outlet deal direct from LG Smilie

Lack of Dolby Vision is not a deal breaker.

Yup and that tech from the 95 series is coming to the mid tier S90H, which is why I will likely just wait for that (living in a high rise I get major reflections and don't use blinds)

depends. S90F is a QD-OLED so its newer and generally better. However if your room is dark then the C5 is fine. If you have more natural light then the S90F hands down.If you plan to game at all S90F as well.
S90F blacks look grey in a bright room. Won't notice too much unless it's beside a WOLED then the difference in black level is very obvious. The big reason going with OLED is the superior black performance and the QD-OLED takes a step backwards in that aspect. The S95F is even worse, but you do gain the best OLED anti reflective coating in exchange. Samsung/QD-OLED is best for very dark rooms. They do excel at color pop, but Samsung also over saturates colors, imo. This makes the image look less natural. Great TV for gaming and animation, streaming and movies not so much.

RTINGS gives the s90f better color accuracy than the C5. If the only time you can notice the black level difference is in a bright room next to another TV it seems like a nonexistent issue as those aren't real life viewing conditions.

Bought one last week at this price from Costco. Amazing tv. Looks great even in the morning when light is streaming into the room.
Wife who typically isn't all that into tech has mentioned several times how great the picture is and how bright it is.
Watched a couple of my favorite movies and noticed highlights I never really saw before.
