The Dremel Blueprint Portable Saw Station stands out as a compact cutting setup that folds into a case for storage and transport, making it handy for occasional DIY and small jobs. It handles straight cuts well, including 9 inch LVP SPC flooring, and can even cut a 2x4 with two passes using the included guide. The vacuum attachment helps, but dust collection still looks limited, so extra cleanup may be needed. Battery life and long term durability are the main questions, especially around the rails, hinges, and blade quality. A practical space saving option if you want more than a basic small saw.

It has been marked at $97 in some stores but rung up at $75.02 or $75, so the shelf tag may not match the final price.
It can cut 2x4s with two passes using the included guide, and it can make long continuous cuts through a 4x8 board. It is better suited to straight cuts than to general-purpose saw work.
Yes. The unit includes a vacuum attachment, but the dust collection may still be limited enough that extra cleanup is needed after use, especially in a small space.
Yes. Its main advantage is the form factor: it folds up into a case for storage and transportation, so it can sit in a closet until needed.
Bosch 12V batteries should work because Bosch owns Dremel, but the battery style/format still needs to match the newer Dremel tool design. The practical check is to verify the exact battery shape before buying.

I've bought my dad small miters multiple times and they always end up on marketplace but the work bladerunner (I think that's what it is if not it's the same concept) he's kept for years and this would be a step up from that.

I guess the inadequate dust collection would be the main issue. Battery and blade quality are also of concern, but they could be replaced.
