Community Reviews

The Dremel Blueprint Portable Saw Station stands out as a compact cutting setup that folds into a case for storage and transport, making it handy for occasional DIY and small jobs. It handles straight cuts well, including 9 inch LVP SPC flooring, and can even cut a 2x4 with two passes using the included guide. The vacuum attachment helps, but dust collection still looks limited, so extra cleanup may be needed. Battery life and long term durability are the main questions, especially around the rails, hinges, and blade quality. A practical space saving option if you want more than a basic small saw.

Well, my previously stated battery concern was t enough to stop me. Gaithersburg MD showed 3 in stock so I grabbed one. Display showed they were on clearance for $134.10 but it rang up at $75.02.

Just saw this post, but happened to pick one up today for this price at the HD in 55413. There's at least 3 more at that location on the clearance endcap.

Does anyone have insight on why someone would want this over a small 6 1/2" battery powered sliding miter saw?
You can make way longer cuts. If you had a 4x8 foot board you could make one continuous cut through the board. A small miter saw you're lucky if you make more than 12 inches. Don't really need to use the set up, can free cut.

The vast majority of diy'er wont ever need a sliding miter but something like this to replace a piece of trim, cut a dowel, etc. is perfect because it can sit in the closet until needed.

I've bought my dad small miters multiple times and they always end up on marketplace but the work bladerunner (I think that's what it is if not it's the same concept) he's kept for years and this would be a step up from that.

Give it a couple days. I've seen this before where products on slickdeals don't match my local stores, but within days they do.
They show 1 left, I might check tomorrow but not holding my breath.

Got two of them. If you're in the Bay Area, the El Cerrito, CA Home Depot has two left. As I post this. Look in the aisle with the fasteners.

Nice! App showed 2 available in my store, but there were 3. Now, there's two left at the Greenville (N. Pleasantburg), SC home depot.

App showed item to be in Aisle RT Bay 1, which I eventually found to be the aisle of the Pro Checkout line

My only concern is the battery lifespan if it doesn't get much use. Am I going to pull this thing back out in 3 years and the batteries will be shot because they didn't get used or properly discharged, etc?
Bosch owns Dremel. Bosch's 12v batteries work on them. I did a quick google to make sure these newer Dremel tools didn't change anything. You just need to double check you are getting the correct "style/format" of their battery likely due to design choices it seems. Also Dremel has 12v tools in their small line up before these newer tools... even their basic rotary tool has a 12v forever. So I doubt they will quit making them. If you have a bit of ocd about brands/colors needing to match
Hope this helps people who are worried on that aspectLink: https://www.dremel.com/gn/en/blog...dless-tool

Interesting. This was marked for $97 and rang up for $75. Buy first, ask questions later.

I guess the inadequate dust collection would be the main issue. Battery and blade quality are also of concern, but they could be replaced.

Website showed 3 in stock but they had 4 on the floor (this is in South OC). They were in a weird area too. Marked at $97 but asked an employee to scan to confirm $75 and I grabbed two - he prob got the other two lol. Initially told my wife I needed to go to Home Depot to look for a bolt to replace one I snapped off in the car and am in the process of trying to extract... hahaha

This looks like a great idea, but I've never had a good experience with a dremel tool. I've never found the ones I've had to be remotely durable. My expectation based on my experience with other dremel products is that the rails, the table, the case hinges, or all three will become loose or fail within a few uses. Does anyone have experience with this one in particular who might be willing to convince me otherwise?

Unless its vacuum attachment has been improved since the initial batch of sponsored reviews, I'd expect to do extra cleanup after using this tool. It's not necessarily a deal breaker (I did buy this, after all), but it does limit its utility in a small living space.
