A local Toyota dealer commercial brags about free four year maintenance coverage: fine print reveals the third and fourth years' coverage consists of two oil changes (one/year!) and four tire rotations: that'll hurt more than choosing the 'wrong' brand of synthetic oil. Literally, YMMV.
Is SuperTec same as Mobil and not Mobil 1?

And, yeah, oil is cheap, quality oil is also cheap compared to the cost of the engine. Spend a few bucks more than the cheapest garbage for more insurance.

i follow a few shops on social media, a few good ones recently posted videos saying they are not recommending those long change intervals anymore, despite what mfg's say. They are seeing problems. One shop says 7k for 100% synthetic and 5k for the synthetic blends no matter what the mfg recommends .
