It's for Canon's crop sensor series of bodies, so you're not using this on their better full frame bodies. Well, you could. But.... why?
And you can buy it used from trusted resellers (MPB) for ~$50. Abes of Maine is a very untrustworthy seller.
This is what some call a "lens-cap" lens. It'd be hard to find a cheaper lens used, to be entirely fair. Keep it as a spare emergency lens in the bottom of your bag. Toss it onto your crop body so it always has a cheap lens attached -- it's plastic, lightweight, and good for the most basic grab-n-go shots that don't matter. But... we all have mobile phones for that.
I'd say save your $50/$100. Don't buy this junk. Instead, save up to spend $100-400 on a REALLY nice prime (50mm f/1.8, 28mm f/2.8, 45mm f/1.2, 35mm f/1.8 IS Macro, etc), and you have something that'll eat this for breakfast. Or if you must have a zoom, get Canon's RF-S 18-150mm -- that might not be a performance lens, but it at least has a very remarkable zoom range.
Those mentioned above are worth keeping...this kit zoom? Not so much.
