I bought a pair of their $400 made in USA boots. Didn't wear them 10 times and a lace broke. Warranty said no and customer support said too bad. Just a lace , no problem, but if that's what they do to their best boot what would they do for their imports when there's a problem.

Tell us about the boot itself. I'm surprised they didn't laugh at you calling over a shoe lace.

1000 mile boots, their best. It's not about the lace it's about their customer service. A lace is .5% of price of boots. Described as their premium waxed lace lasted a couple of days. Boots are still new, not broken in yet. I hope I don't have a problem.

Thank you. I don't know too many companies that warranty shoe laces. Maybe there are some though.

Ok. Just got mad I got 10 days and couldn't wear again until I fixed them. I laughed at customer service. Said I will tell my story every time they advertise on slickdeals because that's where I got them.

yeah good call, dude. It makes perfect sense to expect absolute crap quality in the seemingly insignificant parts of a $400 shoe....

Not about expecting crap quality. More about being realistic. There would be a good argument if they're sending boots without laces at a reduced cost. But thinking logistically, of all things the laces should be the cheapest thing in that package besides the paper they stuff them with. Again if their warranty covers it then fair enough. For the effort of calling they could have given him a $5 coupon/discount but would that have solved his issue? Probably cost more to ship new laces by themselves than the laces were worth.

The boots he mentioned were $400. It's absolutely realistic to think they would be of better quality. I can find good quality shoelaces from a pair of $40 shoes. You're just trying to be contrarian.

No I'm being realistic and obviously see things differently from you. Again, maybe the warranty is supposed to cover them. If not then that's just a tough luck situation. Maybe it's possible they'd replace them with the boot itself if it's come upon an issue. Like an eyelet tearing from the leather after the shoelace being caught on something. How much of that $400 do you think the laces takes up? $5? Maybe $15 at most I'd think. He at least let us know the laces aren't covered.

I own 4 pairs of 1000 mile boots. Always bought in sale and different sole types. I also have a pair of I-90 durashocks. 1000 mile boots American made require an after market sole. Ones the come with suck. They run true to form with boot socks. After break in they are better than my USMC Cadillacs.
P.S. foreshocks are great at this price, not resolable though. Buy you won't be disappointed.
