Better to look for one with a ceramic heater.

The abstract seems to blame brushed motors more than the resistive element, so it sounds like you would be looking for a convective (or radiant) heater. I would expect these appliances to have shaded pole motors, but I can't say I've ever taken one apart.

In any event, I would absolutely have a lot of respect for 1500W of hot (live) nichrome in a 1/4 sq. ft 3.5-lb box on a short stiff vinyl cord around kids, pets, and adults. No toasters in the bathroom.

Actual name brand space heaters are a dime a dozen, why go with some rando junk like this?

You never heard of a device called a hairdryer with a significantly higher thermal capacity per given volume/weight ?

The one with a GFCI built into the cord that stays unplugged in the cabinet when not in use? I respect that one too.
