Great deal, I just wish the smaller 5.5 cup units would go on sale more often. 10 cups of uncooked rice is a ton. The smaller unit would be nice to save space.

I love mine. The rice is always great no matter the type of rice we use. We normally make 4 cups, but sometimes we make 10 to save some for later use.
The porridge setting works great for steel cut oats.

10 cups seem like too much, we usually cook 2 at a time.

the absolute best rice cooker in the world. phenomenal price, we use ours constantly. tons of people will say but my xxxx costs 40$ and cooks rice!! yeah but not like this. you also cant keep it fresh and warm for days on end. this is a 100% must have appliance per wife.

Echoing the sentiment to an extent. Definitely gets rice done well. I like the "platinum" inner pot which is much more durable than the one in the "regular" Zojirushi rice cooker I had before (also made in Japan if that matters). However, I'd say the rice in this one is not orders of magnitude better than I'd been getting from the non-induction version. Also, this one is noticeable louder for no apparent reason (I was expecting the opposite from an induction device). So, frankly, unless you're a "rice connoisseur", I'd not recommend spending that much money and get a regular version instead (although I'd still recommend getting made in Japan device).
