Had my MFC2700 for a long time works well... The 2900 has the dual sided auto sheet feeder.. Very nice

Great workhorse all-in-one multifunction printer with duplex, fax, copy, scan, etc. These things take generic ink and never die.

MFC-L2820DW has less features than the one listed. So not the same printer buddy.

Yea, this one is pretty neat because of duplex scanning. Anyone have reliability of their refurbished items? If toner or drum come used, may not be worthwhile and better to wait for a sale on new.

Brother printers are also great because they don't play a DRM game trying to keep you from using third party toner. They do have one downside. To print an envelope without creating creases, you have to manually adjust the physical tension control. My Canon doesn't need this. Once it's told that an envelope is loaded, it can make the adjustments in software. At the least this is inconvenient (and most people waste a few envelopes before they google it). But I bought a Brother for my parents and they don't have the dexterity or hand strength anymore to make the adjustments. So, they just can't print envelopes
