Maybe someone else can chime in, but I don't think there's enough of a difference between the 256v/258v and the 288v chips to warrant this much of a price difference. 32gb is nice but there may be some that go in and out of stock for $500ish

I know that it drains battery faster than 256v. No oled is a deal breaker for me tbh. Best Buy has it for 650 sometimes

For 650-750, it needs 1800p oled, 258v 32gb.

288v is useless

If you don't mind the screen, the Ultra 7 version is good enough, ultra 9 basically has the same performance. I returned my Ultra7 one because I cannot work with the poor screen; it looks foggy and my eyes feel tired after a full day's work. If you will work with this laptop all day, I recommend this upgraded one because of the 100% RGB screen.

For 650 get one 3k oled. Some 3k oled were $300 with older cpu

2k is 300-450.

You see available units? These have been out of stock for a considerable time.

The chip difference isn't important it is the screen difference. This one is brighter and more color accurate

I don't understand new CPUs anymore. This is an 8 Thread/8 Core CPU. But it commands a large premium. In traditional computing this isn't any better than my several years old laptop CPU. Do people actually use the AI stuff for anything yet?
