Based on this reddit [reddit.com]thread, sounds like an upgrade in the sound department.

I've heard really good things about the A50. I'm coming from a G933 on it's last legs, so excited to give them a shot.

I got the gen 3s back in the day and liked them so much as my wear everybody set of wireless headphones. On discord with the buds and wanna go get a drink from the fridge? Roll on over, don't miss a thing. Audio quality is better than you think and you can get a good EQ from autoEQ if you're into music.

Microphone is better quality than you'd expect from a headset, let alone a wireless one. I use a dynamic mic hooked into an audio interface half the time because I'm a nerd, and honestly this set makes me lazy to swap it back.

Battery has surprised me, I have never had it drain to zero on me yet, I'm happy with this headset and got it refurb for around 200 this Christmas time.

Have the Astro a40s with mix amp. Anyone came from these? The wires are falling apart as I have been using them since 2017.

Those having issues... the site does this in a pretty wonky way. It shows 259.99 on the product page and the order summary at the top of the checkout page... however if you scroll to the bottom of the checkout page you should see a discounted "Total For Your Order".

Great price on an amazing headset. The mic is better than previous generations, nothing to write home about, but the sound and bass is fantastic for a wireless set.

Years ago I was going through a bunch of higher end wireless headsets and landed on the A50 Gen 2s. They eventually fell apart from like 8 years of daily use, but I currently have 3 sets the Gen 4 (2 at home and 1 at work).

Awesome, great to hear. My G933 headset has lasted 7 years, but losing sound in one ear. Excited to try these out!
