50/50 chance this buys you a $700 paperweight when the amp fails within the next 2 years. Klipsch is releasing new versions of these, the sevens and fives (albeit at higher prices than the originals) that supposedly have better internals to hopefully fix these problems

Klipsch is very good with RMAs.. good chance if these fail under warranty, they'll ship you the new internals

I get "Sorry, your order does not qualify for this promotion" when applying the coupon.

EDIT: I figured out that the coupon only applies to the black pair.

I bought these when they were... I think 749 ? a few months ago.

Sound-wise, they are good for a one box solution and in walnut they look cool. If you pair them with a streamer, you have a decent mid-fi system for well under $1000 that doesn't require multiple wires and components.

I still have the RP-600M ii's I tried in a box and I didn't like those at ALL. I liked the sound on the Nines much better.

I still prefer the sound of my original setup better, so my Nines are going to get relegated to secondary room duties or sold. But that's just me - I had a hard time choosing which I liked better.

For $700 I don't think you can go too wrong if you're in the market.

I'm surprised klipsch still sells these with the pending class action lawsuit and all. Peeps are mad the "Nines" they bought are actually just Eights.

The failure of the amp is a major concern. It's well documented. What about adding an extended warranty through adorama? 4 years for $160?

I replaced my my overpriced Sonos soundbar with this and it's night and day even without a dedicated subwoofer. I'm hoping the new Fives II would be great as well as PC speakers.

You still have to run a cable between the two speakers so these are not true wireless like a pair of Sonos or KEF's would be.
