Reviewers mention pretty consistently that the soles come apart right around 6-8 weeks of use which is terrible

Note that EW is 3E. I usually wear 4E and these are a little snug.

eh, I've only ever bought one merrell fiberglass toe Moab boot for house projects - it was very comfortable and I used it throughout my major backyard demo/redo (excavator work, more French drains that I want to remember, cutting down dozens of trees, retaining walls, etc.). those shoes got beat to hell after a solid 2ish years of consistent use. my work boots are actually keen dover 6" waterproof fiberglass toed (brain fart previously) - those things are awesome comfortable and durable. I don't think merrell makes any right angle heel work boots, so I cannot use them for work. I also use merrell moabs for any and all hiking activities and cycle my oldest used hiking pair into the yard work lineup whenever I get a new hiking pair.

Yeah Wolverines aren't what they used to be. Also calling non-waterproof boots Wellingtons should be a crime.

Wolverine has certainly fallen off. I had a pair of Wellington work boots I bought last year and despite being around a month over their 1 year warranty, they wouldn't cover the boot. I've never made a warranty claim with them and have purchased 4 pairs of wolverine boots. You'd expect a decent American brand (especially one that makes supposedly rugged work gear) to be willing to make a 1 time exception. That proves to me that this company doesn't stand behind their product anymore. Ariat is an easy replacement, although I bet there are folks much more into boots here who could tell you the optimal pair. These aren't decent boots.

These are worth 60. I bought them last year and they are still kicking. Wore them all summer and fall.

I think it's a good deal.

Used to live in Wolverine Raider steel toes for work. Can't speak on the brand now. No need.

Bought these to try out. They arrived Friday before the weekend. Something in me said I should order a size bigger as well as the extra wide. Glad I did. I have boots I pick up locally in Texas at size 12 normals that fit great. I went for 13 in extra wide and they are cramping my feet hardcore. Definitely designed for smaller Asain feet.

Just got mine in.. it is the opposite. I ordered a size up and EW and I can barely shove my feet in. They hurt something fierce with how small they are.

These are garbage for anyone wondering. You definitely get what you pay for. Quality is on par with Walmart Brahma brand.
