I'm a bit confused by this
"Cinematic streaming: This TV streaming device brings the movie theater to your living room with spectacular 4K, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision picture alongside immersive Dolby Atmos audio."

I have an older Roku Ultra on a LG C3 - does that mean content streamed through that Roku does not give me 4K or HDR10+?

FWIW, I don't see a discernable difference if I view Peacock, for example, via the TV App or the Roku app. And I can tell the difference in Plex between a 1080P movie vs a 4K movie. But I haven't looked it that closely either.

No, not for side loading purpose, but built like a tank and extremely reliable and convenient for what it does

If you're looking to do things like side loading you probably want to look into the Onn 4k Plus from Walmart running Android. The Onn 4K Pro model was recalled and they're releasing a new version 2 using the same Onn 4K Plus CPU, as someone found the listing yesterday on FCC's website.

If you're used a Roku Ultra before, they're super stable for the most part. That said, I'm replacing an older Roku Ultra from 2022 and reuse it in another room. It's still fine, but with that $50 offer for existing Roku accounts, as Lostlink mentioned, that's hard to pass up on.

All generations of the Roku Ultra devices support 4K, but only the 2020+ models support HDR10+.

Good looking out, as the kids say. Old Ultra goes in the box for someone who might well need a STB later, and the new one's for me.

Roku remote quality is not what it used to be, I bought 2023 4k model and its slow and has issues with my Sony TV CEC because it always turns on the TV with wrong input until about 5 to 10 seconds later switches to Roku input. I also agree you should have gigabit port unless these have gigabit wifi.

If speed is any concern to you avoid Roku all together and buy an Onn player from Walmart. The latest $30 4k player or slightly less speedy 4k Pro are light years faster and more fluent then this latest and greatest Roku. I have all listed and decided Roku at this point is living in the past and trying to keep those they already had on board because there's zero innovation with them and their selling point is just a bland, easy to use UI. The ads just get worse and performance has stayed subpar. If money isn't an issue an Apple player is your best bet. With all that said, if Roku is what you want this price is as good as it gets and jump on it. just know you're missing out on a better experience with other branded media players.

SOLID price on this. Had one for 3 years and it's never lagged or been slow.

This is the top of the line Roku device, the Roku Ultra 2024. The list price is $99, the price on Roku's web site is $79, and the current Amazon price is $60. This is the least expensive price I have seen on this model.
