I bought these late last year. Their quality is average, and I wouldn't use them to secure anything super important. Still useful for the low price!

Great price. This is a buy it now and use it later kind of thing... I bought some zip ties at HD a few days ago because the project I was working on needed it immediately and the price and variety between that and this are huge.

Are you insinuating the advertised "tension strength" is blatantly false? Even the smallest zip tie claims to be able to handle 18lbs which far exceeds your exaggerated claims of not being able to hold anything heavier than speaker wire.
You have a valid point, but they ARE much weaker than most zip ties. Some of them just fell apart after a couple weeks outside. Still useful for some things.

Honestly good quality zip ties are so underrated and hard to find. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ditto. Any recomendations for higher quality strength and for outdoor use longevity?

I dont know what you consider good quality but the ones at Harbor Freight have not let me down and the price is right and you can see them first. They will go on sale every few months. I have started shifting away from zip ties and now use that wrap around velcro (get a big spool) which is far better and you can remove and reuse. There is no way at this price that this set is even mediocre.

I went with higher rated ones.

HS Reusable Zip Ties Assorted 6 8 10 Inch (200 Pack)

Superun 400 Packs Black Zip Ties Assorted Sizes 4+6+8+12 Inch

Superun Zip Tie Kit - 400 Pack Zip Ties Assorted Sizes 4 Inch, 6 Inch, 8 Inch Mix Pack

Good reviews after looking. I would rather pay more over cheap ties that break.

FYI, never used the ones I posted. Got them based on reviews.

These are TRASH! lesson learned, and that I thought all zip ties were created equal. I do a lot of mechanical stuff off-road. Nothing crazy. But I'll tell you what these things I've never had a zip tie that I could break with my hand. The most that I would use these for it would be zip tying cables together.

That's exactly my thoughts. At 1 point I went through about 10 zip ties when I only needed 1! The lock kept breaking. Lol
