YMMV if you have a current Roku account, you can get the promo on ONE item (but can order up to 3 of that item at the promo price). I was able to come back to make orders on another different item at the promo price.
If you have an expired CC and try to add a new CC, you will NOT get the promo price. YMMV I was able to add a new CC as an ALTERNATE payment and my orders have gone through with the promo price.

Are you recommending buying a 4K stick for older TVs that are not 4K, or only for ones that are 4K? I bought the $10 one for my old (really old!) TV, did I mess up?
Imo, it is better to buy a 4k stick since it can be used in the future on other, newer TVs esp. when you factor in the rather small difference in price. Anything you buy in the future is likely to be 4k or better. That said, I would not sweat it either way given the minimal cost.
