YMMV if you have a current Roku account, you can get the promo on ONE item (but can order up to 3 of that item at the promo price). I was able to come back to make orders on another different item at the promo price.
If you have an expired CC and try to add a new CC, you will NOT get the promo price. YMMV I was able to add a new CC as an ALTERNATE payment and my orders have gone through with the promo price.

For reference, I was recently given an Insignia Roku tv from 2015 and it paired with all the roku one of the extra Roku stick remotes I have. And controls power and volume too. Even after factory resetting the tv and avoiding signing back into WiFi so I can use the stripped down basic version of the Roku software the tv ships with.

We just bought TCL tv from Costco and immediately setup Roku on it, I am not even going to entertain the TV OS (we skipped wifi setup, the TV is not even directly connected to the internet) because I am that pleased with Roku. Hope you find what works for you! The basic HD stick at $10 is a great entry level test. I love the BT audio capability of the Roku Streambar. I even use it when not connected to a TV (though, you need to connect to a TV for initial setup).
