Also agreeing with this for warranty issues. I purchased a 3/8" torque wrench off Amazon and it broke after the first year. If I had bought from HF I could have just brought it to the store to exchange it. Instead I was shit out of luck.
It seemed to be something in the ratcheting mechanism. My friend who borrowed it said it overtorqued something then when I tried later it wouldn't hold enough torque. For the $15 or so that I paid, it wasn't worth taking apart more than just the head of it.
The HF has been tested zillions of times in those youtube shootouts and is actually accurate.
Even with the tariffs, you can still get them for $12 on sale.
Then add the no receipt, lifetime warranty - the choice is easy.
