For the folks who look at this price tag and feel "damn, that's a lot of money for a guitar"

I'm one of you.

I recently bought a Firefly and I was happily surprised at how well it was made. Not a big name brand but the fretboard was good, steel frets with rolled edges, bone nut, locking tuners, alnico pickups.

Really, can't complain.
