All tech stuffs like PC gadgets went up in price.

I have zero evidence to back this claim, but I think it's because most people keep their TV's for a long time. There are still a lot of people who upgrade their other gadgets annually or bi-annually, so the tech companies are going to milk it as long as they can.

Yeah.... that was the Good 'Ol Days!!
Nowadays TVs are rigged/designed to fail.
There was a few upper-models Sony TVs that if a single LED backlight failed the entire TV became inoperable. (Reminds me of the old school Xmas string lights.

True. However, my LG OLED from 2018 is still going strong. I think thats pretty decent in today's tech standards.
