For gaming 120hz is way over emphasized imho because you need several factors in order to enjoy the experience. Console, game, cables, tv, as well as the receiver if using one. All have to be 120hz. I play 4k 60hz on my OLED 90% of my games even though it's a 120hz tv.
Also when people recommend a tv they don't take into account price per size. Sure you ca get a much better tv but you'll spend at least another $1000 for the same size.
