Works for domestic carry on, international is more strict and will most likely make you check in.

Just bought a replacement set. thank you for post! after 150+ flights and countless weeks on the road the carry on's fabric seams started to come undone and the handle broke. So I sent it to Samsonite $15 through one of their stores for warranty repair the fabric seam repairs lasted about 3 months before starting to come undone in the same spot. Replacement telescoping handle is like new again still. At this price I prefer to buy a new set instead of being nickel and dimed the $15 for carry-on, $20 for large plus my time to ship off to Samsonite for repair.
