The Dog Study (1993)
In this experiment, researchers studied 24 male dogs divided into two groups over a 24-month period:
The Groups: One group wore 100% polyester underpants, while the other group wore 100% cotton.
The Findings: The dogs in the polyester group showed a significant decrease in sperm count and motility, as well as an increase in abnormal sperm. Testicular biopsies even showed degenerative changes in the tissue.
The Control: The dogs wearing cotton (and a separate control group wearing nothing) showed no changes in fertility.
Reversibility: Interestingly, most of the effects were reversible. After the polyester garments were removed, sperm quality returned to normal in 10 out of the 12 dogs within a year.

Spot on! Polyester is better for sweating. You can't be wearing cotton! Common sense please, people!

People here love polyester underwear because it 'breathes' but hates it for socks.
I've had no less than 5 doctors tell me to never wear polyester underwear. Always at least get a blend with cotton.

They had to torture dogs balls to figure that out? 😂

It should have already been general knowledge that heat lowers sperm count and polyester is hot. Ego lower sperm count...

For all those who think poliester as sports fabric is brwathable it's a misnomer that poliester "breaths". It breaths less than other fabrics because each fiber is plastic and cannot let air or water pass through it. It traps heat and moisture. It is however, known to be decent for sports because it dries faster due to the fact that fibers themselves don't hold water like say cotton. How well it allows moisture to dry is dependant on its weave pattern and it's exposure to air. So as an undergarment it's positive qualities are negated.

Maybe it's because you're not supposed to keep your "hands down" them.

ok, jk but yeah i hear you, these look like garbage.

Another chapter in the "fast fashion" playbook that keeps being peddled here to just rob you of your money and go straight to the landfill.
