Why say stuff like this if you obviously have no idea how cars work? There is less effect in direct injection cars because the valves don't get cleaned with this but injectors still get cleaned.

I agree that Valvoline Restore and Protect is great and is what I use to keep carbon off piston rings and inside engine, but motor oil does not come into contact with intake valves or fuel injectors which is what this is meant for. Use TopTier fuel only is an equal solution to Techron.

To get top tier it needs to meet a minimum amount of additives and one of the additives is PEA (techron). It either meets the legal spec or doesn't. Don't listen to these idiots. If you use top tier on every fill up, then additional PEA treatment is not necessary but won't hurt your system just your wallet.
