While the RSL 10e is obviously much better you do have to pay a little more at $330.
These $100 Jamo subs are probably fine if you are pairing it with some cheapo around $100 bookshelf speakers or soundbar with sub out for use on a computer desk or a tiny bedroom and aren't going to playing any audio at high volumes. Getting a much nicer sub like the 10e might be overkill in those situations.
Community Reviews
The Jamo S 810 is a slim, budget subwoofer that fits well behind a couch, under a desk, or in a small room, and it adds solid bass punch to bookshelf speakers, music, movies, and light gaming. At around $99, it is repeatedly framed as a good value for modest setups, especially with inexpensive speakers or a soundbar with sub out. The main caveat is performance, since it is not a deep, high output home theater sub and does not reach the low end of pricier options like the RSL Speedwoofer 10E. Shipping damage and occasional power on quirks also come up, so it suits compact, low volume use best.
Common Questions (5)
At $99, it is a decent budget buy for small rooms, desks, bedrooms, or casual movie/music use. At $379, better options like the RSL Speedwoofer 10E are a stronger value and deliver much higher performance.
It works well as fill-in bass in a fully enclosed 10x15 room, and it can noticeably improve inexpensive bookshelf speakers when paired with an AVR or bass management. Its narrow cabinet also makes it easy to hide behind a couch or place under a desk or against a wall.
The RSL 10E is the better subwoofer by a wide margin and is described as a major upgrade in quality, but it costs about $330. The Jamo S 810 makes sense if you want a cheap, compact sub for light-duty use and do not need high-end bass.
It adds useful low-end depth for movies and casual listening, but it is not a deep-bass home theater sub and does not reach 20Hz with much volume or low distortion. It is better suited to modest bass reinforcement than serious theater output.
Some units have arrived damaged because they ship in original packaging, and one setup quirk is that it may not auto-power on at low volumes with certain desktop amps. Adorama handled returns easily, and keeping the sub level higher or turning the volume up briefly can help wake it.

808 was $115 back then with no discounts. I guess 810 (10' sub vs 8') for $99 is actually a good deal
