This is a $100-something dollar quality subwoofer marked up to $379 and then put on sale. For $379 I'd never touch this with something like RSL Speedwoofers being available for the same or cheaper.

While the RSL 10e is obviously much better you do have to pay a little more at $330.

These $100 Jamo subs are probably fine if you are pairing it with some cheapo around $100 bookshelf speakers or soundbar with sub out for use on a computer desk or a tiny bedroom and aren't going to playing any audio at high volumes. Getting a much nicer sub like the 10e might be overkill in those situations.

It's funny how people come and recommend things waaaay expensive and call it "the best option". Dude, this one is here because of the price...

Agreed. My cousin has one of these in his home office (desktop system) though, a fully enclosed 10 x15' room and for fill-in bass during background/work music at moderate volumes, and it actually does quite well for that purpose. Definitely improved the sound of his $300/pr bookshelf speakers, on par wtih many $800-900/pr bookshelf speakers, since he uses an old AVR that has bass management (high pass filter).

I got this because i needed a subwoofer i could hide behind a couch. Since it's narrow, it fit great. Sound is solid.

yep, I got this sub a while back, then upgraded to the RSL 10E. The difference is insane. Just save up a tiny bit and get an RSL, there's no point to this Jamo unless you have absolutely no interest in good sound quality (and then why do you even want more than a soundbar?).

I had two of these. They really didn't impress me at all. Highly recommend the RSL 10E being recommended above. I bought the Klipsch RP-1400sw sub when it went on sale last year, but it's too much sub for my tiny living room. The speedwoofer 10E by RSL is value king right now. It's no contest.

I paid $89 for this shipped from Adorama almost 2 years ago to the day. I have it paired with some Klipsch RP-160M. My use case is almost strictly music with a tiny bit of gaming for my home office. It is far more than enough bass for me, I truly do not understand the comments saying it's not good. What is your use case? I assume home theater use? I listen to anything from reggae/dub to drum n bass and this woofer really opens up the sound for me. I'm totally happy with my purchase!

My use case is wanting to hit 20hz with reasonable volume and reasonably low distortion. This doesn't do either. If you have junk speakers, this will fill in some of the lower frequencies, but not well. Better to just not spend the money at all.

Are these at least better than the monoprice subs?

Yup, and this is a really nice budget option in this form factor.

Yeah, it's quite surprising a $100 10 inch sub doesn't achieve that 🤔

I have slightly smaller 808 for about 3 years. it's pretty good, nothing crazy, but it's very conveniently sized.
808 was $115 back then with no discounts. I guess 810 (10' sub vs 8') for $99 is actually a good deal
