While the RSL 10e is obviously much better you do have to pay a little more at $330.
These $100 Jamo subs are probably fine if you are pairing it with some cheapo around $100 bookshelf speakers or soundbar with sub out for use on a computer desk or a tiny bedroom and aren't going to playing any audio at high volumes. Getting a much nicer sub like the 10e might be overkill in those situations.
Community Reviews
The Jamo S 810 is a slim, budget subwoofer that fits well behind a couch, under a desk, or in a small room, and it adds solid bass punch to bookshelf speakers, music, movies, and light gaming. At around $99, it is repeatedly framed as a good value for modest setups, especially with inexpensive speakers or a soundbar with sub out. The main caveat is performance, since it is not a deep, high output home theater sub and does not reach the low end of pricier options like the RSL Speedwoofer 10E. Shipping damage and occasional power on quirks also come up, so it suits compact, low volume use best.
The narrow, ultra-slim form factor can fit behind a couch or in an under-desk wall setup for office use.
The S810 can add low-end depth and punch for movies when used with older TV speakers or bookshelf speakers.
The S810 can improve a bookshelf setup for moderate-volume music when paired with bass management on an AVR.
The S810 can provide more than enough bass for music and some gaming in a home office when paired with Klipsch RP-160M.
The S810 can be viewed as not worth it compared with the RSL 10E, with the RSL described as much higher quality.
The S810 can arrive damaged because it ships in original packaging, and replacement may require waiting for the deal to return.
The S810 may not achieve 20Hz at reasonable volume with low distortion, and it can only partially fill lower frequencies with poor speakers.
The S810 can require turning volume up beyond normal listening levels because it may not auto power on at low volumes.

808 was $115 back then with no discounts. I guess 810 (10' sub vs 8') for $99 is actually a good deal
