A quick Amazon search shows it's about $15-20 and lowest I've seen is $8... So this is a good deal to a degree
Better than the other Rubbermaid pitcher offered despite a lower rating but I'd avoid it as many negative reviews are similar with complaints about the lid not lining up (meaning you make a mess pouring).
I'm assuming this is using the same lid on the smaller 2qt version which I use every day. At first I hated the lid/spout because of a few reasons,
It doesn't always line up perfectly when you screw it shut, its usually a few degrees off center from where you expect it to be
It does randomly leak from time to time if you dont seal it all the way.
but the main thing is I guess to keep the lid slim they dont really have a spout, its just a flat piece of plastic that I guess channels the liquid from the opening. this along with no breathing hole leads to inconsistent pouring and spillage.
annoying but as I said I still use it as I needed something small that I could mix things in and store it in the fridge and this is pretty much the best thing they had at walmart at the time.
some context for those who care: I own this pitcher, probably had it for about 2 years If not a bit more. It's fairly well constructed, doesn't break easy, and the seal holds. The bad is that whatever plastic it is made of readily absorbs color which will not come out No longer how long you soak it. also the lid when it is screwed all the way on is often not parallel with the top which causes it to pour out crooked. probably just a manufacturing error but it's rather annoying
They can make them correctly, but it would take 5 cents of profit per pitcher so you know we can't have that.
I call it millennial accounting. You can either save 5 cents on 100,000 containers now, or sell 100,000 MORE containers for a couple dollars profit a piece. "But $0.05 is NOW!!!!"

I concur! Have the same issues with colors And that non-parallel lid
