I've had one of these for about 5 years and it's still going strong. Great flashlight!

Streamlight is still one of my favorite brands but Olight has been tearing it up with their offerings and for the most part "outshining" Streamlight in value for many years now.

I do have one of Streamlight's paddle activated lights with 1000 lumens and that thing is excellent. I will have to consider this one as well. 🔦

Why is this so expensive? looks like something that should be $10-$15.

Call me old fashioned, but I just can't justify spending $70 on a pocket flashlight...

Not all, but for some, their edc light is less about the practical reasons and more the statement they are trying to make. I'm also not saying about this specific one necessarily either, since I have no first hand experience with this model.

I know it says it's a built in rechargeable battery, but can you replace it?
Not spending $70 on a flashlight if I can't replace the battery easily.

I can't say for certain, but I would bet money that the answer is no. Most lights (all?) in this form factor are not. For me, this alone makes the recent Sofirn ST1 deal a better value. They are similar in that they are simple flashlights with only a few modes. I prefer that this has a mechanical switch and a clip, but I have had the ST1 for about 3 months and enjoy it quite a bit.

Exactly! A non-replaceable battery severely reduces the value of a product.
