Good deal for limited use. I owned the drill/driver and impact driver too and found everything to be very underpowered. Skil 20v eco system is limited, if you buy into it look at the tools they offer.

I'm sure as you get deeper into woodworking, you will end up upgrading to Ryobi, Makita, Milwaukee, Dewalt, or luxury brands if you can afford them.
If this is a really good deal they probably wont deliver on it
Carbon isn't the best conductor.. it also requires direct contact between the brush and a moving part so wear is a reality. Decent brushed tools will even give you a spare set of brushes for when you eventually need to replace them.. if you don't lose them first. You can also run into problems if the motor is stopped while powered up.. like the brushes can burn out if your brushed tool gets stuck. E.g. ..if you're drilling through a board with a big 'hogging' hole bit and you hit something like a hard knot that the drill doesn't have enough power to get through.
Brushless motors are more efficient (better use of your battery, more power from a given motor mass), and provide better torque. They're also less prone to wear, requiring less maintenance.
The issue usually comes down to price. Brushless motors cost more to make. Because of that, and because they provide obvious advantages.. brushless tools tend to command a premium price over brushed alternatives. In general.. all things being equal, you'd want a brushless model if the price difference wasn't unreasonable and the better tool was affordable to you.
