Physical playback quality cannot be beat. You will own it, and be happy.

Physical media but a huge premium to get it that way as the digital version can often be had for $5.

I can attest to this! It happened to me....physical copy assures if licensing changes, you still have the movie!

One line you'll see in the 2001 book and the beginning of the 2010 movie, but not the 2001 movie.

As a lifelong science fiction buff, this movie was extremely disappointing and slow - kind of like how the first Star Trek movie just wasn't really any fun to watch. Watch Upgrade, Enemy Mine, or Lost Skeleton of Cadavra instead.

This is a great price! I bought this in October of 2022 and paid $16. Considering the cost of living increase, buy it on 4K if you don't have it (or even if you already own it on Blu-ray or DVD). Thanks OP!
