Due to the cost tradeoff, I just expect it...We barely physically make anything worthwhile of industrial nature here, a lot of our stuff is just stamped with an American distributor.

Great price, but he's not completely wrong. Standard groove joint pliers are 9.5" to 10", not 8". Standard needle nose is 8", not 6". There are certainly use cases for smaller sizes, but if you're gonna have one starter set, might as well get standard sizes that are more universally useful. Also, anyone considering these should definitely go through all of the review pictures, with comments like "Comes pre-loaded with rust dirt and stains", and the pics with misaligned jaws are definitely concerning.

I bought this exact set a few years ago along with a small plier set from them. You get what you pay for with these. I wish the short long noise pliers were a bit more narrow sometimes.

THE DIAGONAL PLIERS SUCK!!! They're not machined evenly. This is true for this set and the small set I ordered. I have to "chew" through zip ties to cut them. Not a pleasant experience at all.

I don't have any complaints from the "non-cutting" tools for the price, though.
