Looks nice but man, I hate pull out keyboard trays. I assume you could leave it off/remove it?

the directions i saw online make it look optional but BEWARE that the center brace is not at the rear of the desk - it is right through the middle so it may be a challenge to put your legs under this thing

(ordinarily desks will have full depth legroom and the cross braces will be at the rear of the desk)

why are the tops on these things always 24 inches? 30 inches would be perfect but everything that goes on sale is 24

You don't have to put it on.

Cheaper shipping costs. Even some 24 inch tops (for standing desks for example) are split into two 12 inch planks, for the same reason—to reduce shipping costs.

Take a look at IKEA Bekant desks. (https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/beka...s19022808/) There is this fabric net underneath that you can hide cables under. It might be possible to do something DIY like screen door material + screws for desks like these to hide the cables.

Confused....using a standard commercial office desk right now that is 24". Double monitor, standing desk, laptop on it's on stand off to the side, more than enough room for a standard tower (not a massive gaming PC tower maybe).

Its pretty easy. Just get a cable routing kit. you can hide 90% of it.

I use a 6'x24" Gladiator shop table for my desk. I dont have issues with my PC setup. I have a 34" monitor, oversized Ergonomic keyboard etc. I have a riser under the monitor so that I can stash stuff under it like my docking station, charger, controllers etc.

Without that extra 6" nobody wants 'em so they have to put them on sale, proving once and for all that size really does matter.

Probably necessary due to the added stress from industrial writing.
