Weighs in at 10lbs with a 9ah battery. This thing is a beast and great for demolition work.

I think this is the only cordless 60v recip saw currently on the market. Metabo HPT has a 36v. perhaps Hilti has something comparable, but you're not likely to get either for $150.00 tool only. Bet this would be a blast to knock down a few walls with this bad boy. DeWalt needs to make a 60v Powerpack/Powerstack just to see what this tool can do.

Is this overkill for taking out tree roots?

Edit: NVM, after googling decided I don't need this for tree roots. Nice deal though, OP.

What did it recommend? Chainsaws don't do dirt. Reciprocating saws are good for cutting roots. I'm upgrading my 20V to 60v because this is real, hard, messy work that I want to go faster.

Seemed like a lower powered recip saw is fine. But now you have me wondering again. Lol

good price for this tool but understand it's massive and unwieldly and not really needed for most home users. The 20v one will handle pretty much any home demo job. Also most likely doesn't need said but this will not work with 20v batteries.

I've used this one for tree roots, it worked great. When working on roots down in a hole, the weight seems to help, a gravity assist or something lol.
