This Ryobi electrostatic sprayer is mainly useful for light misting jobs like greenhouse plants, floor cleaner, suitcases, and some car detergent or exterior insect repellent. It can spread liquid well enough on branches and, in the fogger version, throw a mist and droplets a good distance. The big drawbacks are weak pressure, the need to keep it level, and a design that can leak, clog, or fail quickly. The electrostatic cling is described as ineffective, making it feel more like a basic mister than a true sprayer.

They can be kinda fun as massively over-sized squirt guns for the kids though.

They rush produced these during covid to 'fog' spaces with disinfectant...before they learned covid was airborn, not from surfaces. The electrostatic 'cling' that's supposed to adhere disinfectant to all surfaces does not work at all (electrically impossible) so you basically have a trash quality mister.
Most people are angry because you have to keep it leveled for it to work.
Which is difficult to do in a lot of use cases depending where your target is.
I rinse them after each use.
For 15$ you can't even get a manual pump, so they paid off so far.
i still cant find a use for it
bought it to spray neem on my inside trees, failed misreably
