I've had the exact opposite result. I've been running three of these on my house since they dropped (one was a beta unit, the other two I actually paid for). That had to have been 3-4 years ago. They've survived the absolute garbage weather we get here in Central Alabama—rain, snow, and triple-digit heat—and they're all three still kicking without a single issue. The only maintenance I've had to do is the occasional cleaning of the camera lenses.

I own 5 of these and they have been good to me. They lived through 3 Wisconsin winter/summers with no issues. You will never have to take them down to charge them if you make sure they are facing the sun.

I had one of these, died after a year, heavy FL rainstorm killed it. Not sure if it was a fluke or just bad waterproofing.

This didn't survive the California sun after a year.

this is tempting, but as soon as my eufy cams i got in 2022 die, i'm switching to Ubiquiti. haven't had any issues out of the eufy but the integration of ubiquiti is too alluring. if these are the same quality as the non-solar ones (solo cam) then it's a great deal.

I got this early Jan for the same price. Only gets sun until mid day and still at 78% battery. Didn't charge at -20° F or with snow on the panel but has decent picture for a set and forget cam at this price. Might have to grab another one.

Mine is still working but detection and battery have degraded over the years. I think it is on year 3 with 1 year in storage due to a move

Same here. I bought 3 of these cameras a few years ago. They still work, but now they need to be charged with the USB-C cable every couple of months.

Anyone got thoughts on eufy security vs Blink? Been thinking about switching out my Blinks for something else. I have the first and 2nd gen so I still don't pay a subscription.
