Uh ya Milwaukee vs Ridgid Milwaukee hands down better. But Ridgid isn't terrible either their lifetime warranty is by far the best warranty in the business.

Can also be bought with the battery as a freebie, and then if returning/not picking up the battery, results in $165 for just the tool.

Tempting... but I don't like doing / 'risking' that unless it's something I really want. Looks like they've also made it so you can't set the items for pickup at two different stores now too.

$206 shipped via Aafes (so no tax, and 10% off for veterans, $186 for me because I had a $20 rewards gift certificate to burn Smilie. Great deal, thanks OP! If you don't have already have SDS bits, should probably get those too, I grabbed these which looked like an OK starter set with Milwaukee's best (I think) 4 cutter bits and a couple of chisels: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwa.../321493843

people used to order a buy one get one free (battery / tool). the deal was to have the tool or battery shipped to your home and the other half of the order retained at the store for pick-up, but never picking up. the invoiced amount is broken down between the item you bought and the free item. example is the link to the free battery listing of this item.

$249 rotary hammer drill
$129 free battery
add both to cart, will show a discounted invoice checkout between the two
$164.02 rotary hammer drill (ship to home)
$84.98 free battery (ship to store and never pick up, or bring back for store credit)
attached an image here to show

home depot was losing money on people never picking up or returning half the order for credit. the store manager has to sell that item in store. which sometimes results in it being tossed into the clearance discounted shelf. managers do not want fake and gay returns or excess. home depot stopped the online orders of splitting shipping to two locations (shipping costs loss, employee time loss too). so people would just bring back the unwanted half for refund. or pick-up at store they would telling the clerk they don't want the battery and ask to cancel the battery or refund it on the spot. serial returns was considered abuse of the system. so home depot began banning repeat offenders based on a purchaser's complete profile; credit card, login account, registered addresses (and possibly even ip addresses but i doubt that).

Is it me or doesn't it feel like a rotary hammer should be M18 to be beefy enough? At $165 with a battery return it's pretty tempting, even though I have a rarely used corded cheapy one already. Decisions decisions.
