Not a bad deal at all for a quality monitor. Many LED's with worst specs are $299.

It's a Samsung though, and their monitor QC has always been shit tier. I remember getting royally screwed few years ago buying their first curved gaming monitors (all 3 of mine developed lines, randomly goes black). This turned out to be a widespread issue. Anyway, I am now shopping for OLED monitors and was offered the G80SD for $650 each, but things aren't promising after I researched the monitor - still lines and random black screens several years later. It seems Samsung just can't get their act together. I suggest anyone looking to buy Samsung to look up potential issues they might encounter first. If you just love QD-OLED, buy their panel but not their monitor, aka shop from brands like Dell that use their panels because Samsung QC is trash tier.

Dell also has way better warranty support than Samsung. It's not even close.

Hate hear you had bad luck with Your monitor, as far as durability I can not speak for that, however, I have seen this monitor in action. I must say it has the best image quality I have ever seen, just like the QD-OLED Televisions the colors seem to pop off the screen, no kidding, it was awesome. Check one out if You get the chance. I am not paid for My opinion, but I will say the truth when I give details on an item.

I can't use the edu discount like many others, my comment was purely on image quality, thanks for the heads up just the same.

The Dell ultra sharps are some very nice monitors also, not sure but I think they get some panels from LG.

yea, I would not count on HDR with that number, but the image is really good and the colors are very, very nice.
