Quick reminder that 60 days of returns means 60 days of price matching as well. They don't price match around Black Friday, but this has saved me a lot of money in the past.

If you received $5 or $10 Reward in Email recently, it stacks with this deal.

I've purchased like two items from Best Buy in the past three years: a powered USB hub for $17 open box, and a tube of Corsair thermal paste. This membership is basically worthless for me.

If my personal purchasing habits are any indication, Amazon is eating their lunch.
You are probably right for many buyers
However, I think Best Buy is still the largest reseller of electronics

I tend to like to look at what I am purchasing..especially for a longer term use item like a TV

I also tend to buy open box/clearance items
Best Buy can be a mecca for that , if you dont mind making trips to the physical stores

I wonder if the $10 credit they sent me a couple of days ago could apply to this, making it $15.
Good question, let us know.

***Consumer warning***

I signed up for Best Buy Total Tech (BBTT). They ended the program and automatically signed me up for their new program that I saw no value in called Best Buy Total (BBT). The worst part is I review my credit card statement so when I saw the charge for Best Buy Tota (it cuts off long names) I thought it was for BBTT, the product I researched and purchased, not BBT the completely worthless to me program that I've never heard of before and I definitely didn't sign up for. When I called Best Buy they basically told me while you should have replied to the email. When I looked into my Best Buy folder they sent me 12 emails that week and only one was about Best Buy total, the other ones were spam about deals. But the credit card company agreed with me and gave my money back.
You may have gotten lucky. If the amount is low enough, credit card companies just take the hit to keep you happy. I know that if a company fights it, its a lot of paperwork and you don't always win.

I think I have lost a dispute twice in like 20 years. Always do a "good faith" exchange with the company, then escalate accordingly until you can't. Finally ask credit card to step in. My lived experiences..... ymmv

This is a good deal if you have a trade in with Best Buy. They have boosted trade in offers for Plus members.

They might occasionally have some good open box deals, but they're hard to browse through on the website, and I'll usually only encounter a decent deal if I happen to be looking for a specific item. Not to mention that Amazon has used and open box warehouse deals as well, and Target/Walmart also has clearance deals.

Ironically, even in terms of TVs and electronics where you might want to take a look in-store, the last TV purchase I made was an LG OLED (which I found on SD) that was on clearance at Target for a price that probably beat Best Buy by a good mile. Even in this instance, I was able to look at the TV that was on display at the Target store before buying it.

I tried to purchase from Best Buy as much as possible to support a B&M business. But I've had issues with shipped orders where they are delayed or even lost. And there's no notification....you just one day, think to yourself...where is such and such item. They don't proactively notify you or proactive refund, no credit or anything. They would have kept my money without delivering the product if I didn't follow up.

It has happened more than once...Even one time the price went up significantly and my only option was they cancel that order and I pay the current price.

So it's hard to purchase a membership that further locks me in to bad customer service.

It does stack. I have it for $14.99 at the final checkout page but still debating if it is worth getting it if I don't shop there frequently.

Good deal for most. Especially if u plan on buying electronics this year. BB's warranty, customer service and price match is really good.
They are really good now. I remember back in the day they were horrible and every trip there I'd see heated arguments at the customer service area. They had to change or go extinct.
