Quick reminder that 60 days of returns means 60 days of price matching as well. They don't price match around Black Friday, but this has saved me a lot of money in the past.

If you received $5 or $10 Reward in Email recently, it stacks with this deal.

hmm it's unclear how to purchase this for renewal if i'm already a member? 🤐
Chat wouldn't help me and told me it was for new only.
I cancelled, waited 5 min and repurchased. Be sure to have app notifications on for mobile as the website will just keep telling you you're already a member. The app will send you a notification you forgot to checkout that you can take action on
FWIW I wasn't going to renew anyway , so this kept me around.

You are probably right for many buyers
However, I think Best Buy is still the largest reseller of electronics

I tend to like to look at what I am purchasing..especially for a longer term use item like a TV

I also tend to buy open box/clearance items
Best Buy can be a mecca for that , if you dont mind making trips to the physical stores
Not just that, also price matching. They don't care if you're a prime member or not, they still match the $10 game and ship it for free. And I wish they'd get back selling musical instruments.

So the only way to renew at this price, is to give up our remaining months, cancel and sign back up?

They might occasionally have some good open box deals, but they're hard to browse through on the website, and I'll usually only encounter a decent deal if I happen to be looking for a specific item. Not to mention that Amazon has used and open box warehouse deals as well, and Target/Walmart also has clearance deals. Ironically, even in terms of TVs and electronics where you might want to take a look in-store, the last TV purchase I made was an LG OLED (which I found on SD) that was on clearance at Target for a price that probably beat Best Buy by a good mile. Even in this instance, I was able to look at the TV that was on display at the Target store before buying it.
It's much more that occasionally Again you have to be willing to visit the storeOnline doesn't help you nearly as well as actual store visitOpen box items are often cheaper in the store than they are onlineAdditionally Best Buy has a much better selection of higher end products You want more boutique audioArcam, RotelBest Buy has itYou want to the flagship Z series LG oled or even better yet the Sony flagship oled or lcdBest Buy has it in stock Even better when those products get clearance / open box at a fire sale dealBeen there done that many many times

You're lucky. They told me I would not get a pro-rated refund because I got a membership discount on an item purchased at the same time as the membership (not a discount on the membership but a member discounted item).

I signed up last June, when they offered $50 reward certificate making it free. Wonder if they would still partially refund me, or if it's worth getting another year of it.
It was great in the beginning, it offered many opportunity to earn bonus rewards. The monthly member picks was appealing also. The last two+ months both area had been lacking.

Great deal. Stacked the $10 rewards coupon emailed out recently. Weird that they charge tax on this though.

This is a good deal if you have a trade in with Best Buy. They have boosted trade in offers for Plus members.
Trade-in values for Apple products are VERY low. M1 Studio was $425 less than Apple, Mini was $115 less. SellYourMac offered even more.

Well, my pet peeve with Best Buy is that they ship Lego like its a piece of meat. Actually, CrowdCow ships meat better than Best Buy ships Lego. If only they could figure out that slapping a shipping label on a Lego box and letting it loose on a shipping truck is not a good idea!

Good deal given how their shipping practices limit what I can get from them.
