I got this set a few years ago and it was a great deal. The jigsaw isn't the best for anything approaching finish work, but it works pretty well. I still use the sander and router regularly.

how powerful is the router? i have both milwaukee and ryobi tools. depending on the tool, how much i use it and how hard it will get worked, usually decides which brand i get of each. the router is a weird one for me. for 1, i dont do a lot of routing, so id normally just get a ryobi. on the other hand, from what i hear, they need quite a bit of power.

I only use the router for edges (round over, etc) now as I have a full size corded Bosch for heavier work. I did use the ryobi for some dados when I first got it though (had to take small passes though). Milwaukee does have a cordless router that is "full size" and it is one of the only ones that is cordless and has a 1/2" collet. I like have both the Bosch and Ryobi so I use them for different jobs.

appreciate it, thanks. i have an ancient 1/4 collet black and decker corded that has been serving me well, but i wouldnt mind getting something cordless. thinking i can basically do the same as you. use the ryobi for smaller jobs and keep the corded to do anything it cant handle.
