Interesting to see ESP guitars getting some heavy discounts recently.

If you are shopping for a new entry level "Les Paul'ish" instrument those 256's are a pretty nice deal. The Vintage Black EC-1000 for $681 is a killer deal on a solid workhorse. I'm hoping to find a Sparrowhawk or BW-1 on sale eventually, but I won't hold my breath.

I've had an EC-500 for decades. Always wanted that EC-1000 in vintage black. Finally jumped on it. If you want Metallica Black album sound, these are where it's at.

LTD guitars are pretty high quality and at this price, its rivaling used prices. If you want a NEW quality guitar at a great price, this is it.

Don't like how the links all say ESP LTD. I was always told LTD was the lower level tier. It's one or the other right?

They flew too close to the sun with their increases.

LTD is ESP's more mass-produced line. Full (non-LTD) ESP's run in the thousands, so ESP LTDs are much cheaper and can range from hundreds into mid-one thousand or so. The higher end LTDs are quite good, like the EC-1000s mentioned here, but they are not $3000 ESPs either.
