This is great. Just remember the CEO of Chipotle literally said that they can continue to raise prices because their customer base has the income.
Talk about taking your customers for granted.

""We learned that 60% of our core users are over $100,000 a year in income, in average household income. That gives us confidence that we can lean into that group in a more meaningful way — to really drive meaningful transaction performance in the year," he said in leaked audio of the call, according to Yahoo Finance."
what a fun way to look at it.

Qdoba has been the better value (free guac and chips with entree purchase; their chicken bowl costs the same as a chicken bowl from Chipotle) lately and tastes just as good.

These offers are usually not very good. I mean the ones I have seen in the past are this with $5 minimum purchase.

In my area, chips and queso blanco is $4.65 and that is the regular. Chipotle's website and app are good at detecting if one puts a large chips and queso, guac, or salsa (this combination with chips is the cheapest, $2.90 in my area for any variation of salsa) and/or buying the items separately and thinking it is a combo.

So if one is buying a full entree, burritos in my area start at $9.35 for a veggie; it would be 2x the value of this offer. I looked up tacos and they also start at the same price. If anyone can find an entree item that can beat the price of a burrito, let us know.

From what I see, they are able to recoup the cost of the offer and give you maybe 50% off on an entree.

I would rather see BOGO chips and queso blanco or chips with other side or (which is a bit rarer), the price of the entree is cheaper than the offered item(s) (basically an any purchase type deal).

My work-around to these online/app only deals is to go at 2-3pm (when they are not busy) and politely ask the manager if I can pay for it ahead of time as a mobile order, but then have them MAKE the meal on the regular line - as if it's an in-person order to take advantage of this free queso promo. I've done this strategy with app only deals in the past and it's never been an issue. Go when they are less busy and it shouldn't be a problem

That should not be an issue because you are right there. I have done that before as well for Jersey Mike's and Dairy Queen. Difference between app ordering and being there in person is the way they package it, do you want it in hand or do you want it put in a bag and stickered shut?

First, know the delay of the time the app will put you at when you order, while being there (you place the order at 11:05a.m. and it states it will be ready at 11:20 a.m., when you are standing in line).

If you are meaning to be there because you want to keep pushing the employees to give you more in your bowl or intimidate them thinking they will put a "correct" amount, you can do that too.

It also depends when one works and the distance to a Chipotle. I could do this at like 11 a.m., if there was one close enough

Last time I was at Chipotle (about four months ago), I swore it would be the last. The ordered burrito was lousy and the dingy restaurant setting was disgusting. It wasn't busy yet they had no staff assigned to keep the seating area clean. For burritos, I prefer Moe's. Yet for salads, Moe's is also not that great. My only choices on Long Island have no consistency but if a burrito is being ordered, only Moe's.

No Qdoba on Long Island that I'm aware of.
