A little more details / fine prints from the email:
$89/first year - Save $90.40 compared to monthly pricing.
12 credits up front - Get all your credits at once—no waiting.

Offer available until February 27, 2026 at 11:59pm PST. Offer is by invitation only to former members of Audible.com who have received this offer directly from Audible via email, push notification or online display advertisements. Savings calculated by subtracting discounted annual plan price ($89) from the cost of a monthly Premium Plus membership for 12 months (12 x $14.95 = $179.40). For the first year of your Audible membership, you will be charged the discounted price of $89/yr + tax. After the first year, your Audible membership will continue until cancelled at the then current full price (currently, $149.50/yr. + tax) with your designated credit card or another available card on file. Cancel anytime by visiting your Account Details page. Audible reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at anytime. If you violate any of these terms, the offer will be invalid.

The wording on this offer is misleading, as an annual subscription to audible is actually $150, so it's not really a $90 discount from the standard price, rather a $90 discount vs the monthly membership.

Still a good price though, and you do get all 12 credits at once. But that also means that they all expire at the same time, which is 12 months after you start the membership. I found that out the hard way when I let 4 credits expire at the end of my first year.

Does anyone know if the following offer (a $15 reward after spending 3 credits) stacks with this? It does say for monthly members but just wondering: https://www.audible.com/ep/credit-cash-reward

I have used their 50% discounts in the past. I did not get that offer this time; I got the 3-month offer. BUT I have been able to call them and get them to give me 50% off for a year several times in the past.

Not sure how long ago your membership expired, but a few years ago I had the same thing happen to me. I chatted with them through their website and they gave me the lapsed credits back, so it may be worth a asking.

That would have been nice. I did chat with them and they told me they couldn't give them back, but I was at least able to cancel and get a refund for the second year.
