imo, you dont.
Wax tends to leave white residue, doesnt last as long as sealants, and not as easy to apply.
Havent used wax in years.

Because depending on the paint the hybrid ceramic can look awful when light reflects off the streaks. It looked horrible on my bright red nonmetallic car, getting rid of the streaks was a pain. On the other hand the hybrid ceramic looks good on my metallic blue Bronco, because it shows streaks far less.

What do you mean streaks? Don't you have to buff it out when applying?

Some people use way to much, thinking more is better. If you use more than 1/2 on a normal car, you are using to much. Maybe 1oz on a large SUV.

You're not really supposed to buff it. Rather you're supposed to apply sparingly, and wipe off rather quickly with a clean towel before it dries, preferably out of direct sunlight.

I followed the rules to the letter, and at first glance my red car looked good. But shifting glance to see how the light played off the paint, the streaks (smears) were very noticeable. You can't get rid of the streaks with a dry towel, instead you need to play around with a damp towel. It took a lot of extra time messing around reducing the streaking, and at that point I started to wonder how much product was even on the vehicle. I'll never apply this product again to my non-metallic bright red car. And I bet anyone who applies it to such a paint, I can point out the streaks they have left over.

On the other hand, I applied the product to my blue metallic Bronco to good effect. Because that paint hides streaks. I still had to spend longer than I liked going back over, rewetting slightly and getting rid of the streaks, but it did leave what seems to be a slick finish. You might not see the smearing until you shift your position so the sunlight is glancing off the panel at a certain angle, and then you will think bloody hell. Smilie

Agreed, definitely less is better with this product. I apply a small spray to a towel, and then apply to the vehicle. Because spraying directly on the vehicle did not go well in terms of streaks and smearing. Also, I'm thinking environment can play a particularly big part in how well this product goes on. Meaning, not only is sunlight an issue, but heat and humidity could cause this product to flash in a way that promotes streaks.
