Not going to vouch for it but in the QA section, PowerSpec commented that the BIOS as shipped was updated and fixed the issue.

Probably a Microcenter nearby.
For those of us 1000 miles away from the nearest microcenter, that was savage.

I cannot conceive getting into a 3K debt for something as a PC Lol. Considering the hardware crisis this is what they want you to do, to establish the standard of paying an arm and a leg to discourage the masses and send you to cloud subscription services.
Maybe we are at different points in our lives, but I haven't had to worry about a 3K expense putting me in debt since my mid-20's.

Yeah i saw that and was thinking how silly this guy was for saying that. Why would you even consider it if you cant afford it.

Costco's upcoming deal (starts Mar 2) seems like a good alternative cheaper option if you don't care about the 32gb ram too much. It is $100 more than the BF sale.

$1600 for GPU $750 for the RAM $450 for the CPU and the rest is thrown in for "free". If you need to upgrade THIS would be the time to wait. Forget about people saying wait until the next gen blah blah. Wait until the AI bubble pops. People are starting to figure out there isnt enough energy to power their AI pyramid scheme.

How much of a hit is getting a 9900X versus the 9900X3D? I'm in the market for a 5080 machine, but haven't kept up on the cpus.

Simple. make more money so 3K doesn't automatically mean debt for you.

Negligible if on 1440p/4k max settings on modern games, the gpu does 99% of the work and cpu usually chills at 50%. if playing 1080p low settings for 250+ fps like esports games, 9800x3d performs 20-30% faster, the cpu does much more work at these frame rates.

Asrock subreddit has multiple daily reports/posts of people's cpu frying, even on the latest firmwares.

RAM timings are CL38 per QA in the site. Anyone know how that impacts gaming?
You'll only notice a difference in benchmarks. Real world use you won't notice.
