It sucks that sunscreen sticks don't actually give you sun protection. A single swipe of an "SPF 50+" sunscreen stick over your face gives you less than SPF 20 protection:

If you're looking for real sun protection, always stick with dedicated sunscreen lotions/gels/creams. Make-up that has sunscreen in it, is pointless. You need to apply 8x as much make-up to get the stated sun protection. Just go with a sunscreen product.

I'm not sure they are "crap'ing" the product in so much as providing context.
Sunscreen sticks aren't bad.
They're convenient but you have to use them in a different way to get the protection stated.
