Pixel 10 comes with eSim. Once the device is unlocked, you can use it on another device

How can they require (enforce) port in when you're paying the price up front? Not snark, just curious

I don't see any need to port in anything. I could go to checkout with new account without any porting in part. I think this is the same deal from black friday.

Not a bad deal I was able to do a trick w/ 3 month and P10PXL for a bit more and it was unlocked after 60 days. I had to contact them, they did not unlock immediately. The service was good I would have kept it but they wanted like $300 to renew and I just took my biz to visible for under $200 for the pro+ with much better international coverage.

After the $25 recovery fee and tax, it's more like $20 a month for service. Decent deal still.

I did this a year ago with pixel 9. Didn't require port in but I did anyway from tello iirc. Got an unlock text around 58 days. Service worked fine. Ported to us mobile after the year. I'll probably port to mint when us mobile year is up.

FYI I tried to do this exact deal in December as an existing customer. I checked thoroughly for any sort of new customer requirements, but I found none. I couldn't activate the 1 year of service and customer service insisted it is only when bringing in an outside number. I had to switch to Tello for 2 days, then I could activate the mint year and port my number back in.

Not the same, that one was for the 10 Pro.

I did the previous Pixel 10 Pro XL deal with 1 year service. I used the 1 year service on a different Pixel 10 Pro XL phone, no issues. New phone went to a family member and the family member's current Mint service was able to transferred to the new phone. Some say the Mint phones are locked initially to Mint Mobile, just FYI.
