Note that you will need an external power supply (par for the course for DIN-mounted devices).

The POE++ version (link below) has hit $87 and seems to be a better deal if it recurs:

My use case would be to replace a copper SFP+ and POE++ injector with the POE++ injector version, which I can place in my attic.
I said "would be" because I already did the first option: SFP+ 10G copper and POE++ injector in the attic, and I'll just need to keep an eye on it during the summer heat. (I logged my attic temps last year, and they hit 130 F, which is only 55 C.)

nope; this is for converting signals (fiber <-> ethernet), not media files
