Things to note: this is not an IPS display (the 27" version is, but the 32" is VA), even the Amazon listing details are wrong-- heck, even Samsung's own product images on the Amazon listing are wrong, the original information on Samsung's website for this product is correct (it does note on the Samsung site that the panel in the 32" is VA). The Amazon listing also has information showing this is a glossy panel-- it is not, it has a non-reflective matte coating. Not really all that material to the deal, but it is important to note.

yeah, maybe research before buying and ... so what can you buy for 200 dollars ... what can 200 dollars get you ... the last week or month. It has NO BUILT in speaker of any kind.
I bought a couple of 1080p 32 inch Insignia hdtv with fire os (89 dollars each), and it looks good and I use it for computer use, currently have my security cams on it all day. And I do have linux mint on it, about 2-3 feet away from me. And I didn't really pick up the 32 inch 1080p on super sales a few weeks ago for 89 dollars. I was impressed with it.
4k in 32 inch is pretty small for 4k viewing. And my insignia has built in speakers, but I mostly use bluetooth speakers for tv stuff.
Also, hardly any reviews on amazon for his model ... a total of 41 reviews. Just research it first.

and it shouldn't, its not a tv, speakers in monitors are horrific, its what sound bars are for.

ConfusedConfusedConfused

GPT:

For the US market Samsung model LS32D700EBNXGO, the official Samsung US product page lists it as an IPS-type panel — with wide viewing angles, 99 % sRGB, 1.07 billion colors, and the typical ~1000:1 contrast associated with IPS panels.

šŸ“Œ Summary for LS32D700EBNXGO (US SKU)

Panel type: IPS-type LCD

Size: 32″

Resolution: UHD 4K (3840Ɨ2160)

HDR: HDR10 supported

Color depth: ~1.07 billion colors

Typical contrast: ~1000:1 (consistent with IPS)

🧠 Why some people say it's VA

There's a different Samsung 32″ ViewFinity S7 variant (e.g., LS32D702… in other regions) that does use a VA panel with high ~3000:1 contrast, and some forum posts reference that one — causing confusion.

But for the exact US SKU LS32D700EBNXGO, the official listings show it as IPS, not VA.
